The University of Chicago Center in Beijing provides a physical presence to enhance and strengthen the University’s traditionally strong ties to Chinese thought and culture. Building upon more than a century of collaboration between scholars from Chicago and China, the Center in Beijing enables the University to expand existing activities and form new alliances and partnerships with universities, businesses, medical centers, policy groups, government agencies, and cultural organizations in China.
The University of Chicago opened a major new academic center in Delhi to support and expand opportunities for collaboration among scholars and students from India and Chicago across academic disciplines. The Center in Delhi is a home for research and education for University of Chicago faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates working in India and throughout South Asia, as well as Indian researchers and students representing a wide array of institutions, and scholars from around the world.
The Center in Paris is the University of Chicago's research and teaching arm in Europe, an intellectual community of faculty, graduate and undergraduate students representing our traditionally strong ties to European thought and culture. The Center is located in the 13th arrondissement, between the newly expanded campus of the University of Paris VII and the French National Library. .
Chicago House, the Oriental Institute headquarters in Egypt, functions as a major center of Egyptological studies for Egyptian and foreign scholars alike, and is open from October 15 through April 15 every winter season. The research library, among the finest in Egypt, has more than 20,000 volumes. The Chicago House photographic archive is a major research collection containing over 21,000 negatives and 21,000 prints ranging in date from the late-nineteenth century to the present.
The Robert Rothman, ’77, London Campus is home to one of three global locations for our Executive MBA Program. The campus also offers non-degree Executive Education programs. The city also provides a central location for opportunities where Booth can partner with many of our corporate supporters as well connecting with the over 1,700 alumni living in Europe.
UChicago Research Bangladesh (URB) is an international non-profit research organization affiliated with the University of Chicago, USA. URB conducts research, training, and community service activities for the improvement of human health in Bangladesh and beyond. URB also works closely with scientists, health professionals and policy makers from partner institutions in Bangladesh, the USA, and other countries.
