Overview:

This specialized program consists of ten days of intensive instruction on the University of Chicago campus. Coursework will provide a broad overview of Chicago-style economics, as well as practical skills instruction. Participants will also visit local companies as well as public and cultural institutions. The program will culminate in a customized exam administered on-site in Chile. Students will receive a certificate of participation at the conclusion of the program.

Dates: 2 weeks in July 2019

Location: UChicago campus in Hyde Park, Chicago, Illinois

Eligibility:

High-achieving 4th or 5th-year undergraduate students at Universidad Andrés Bello with pre-approved skills competency are eligible to apply for this program. Students will be chosen through a formal application process.

Program Cost Includes:

• Educational instruction provided by UChicago Economics faculty members
• Skills instruction provided by UChicagoGRAD
• Lodging
• Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
• Welcome dinner and closing dinner
• On-site exam
• Admittance
• Transportation to all activities and excursions (except optional activities)
• Transportation to and from the airport
• Chicago Big Bus day pass
• Certificate of completion
