By uniting diverse faculty and students for more than a century, The University of Chicago has fostered one of the most unique—and decorated—intellectual communities in the world. Faculty, researchers, and alumni have earned over 90 Nobel Prizes and nearly 50 MacArthur “genius grants,” along with numerous national medals and fellowships. Today, our community continually grows with hundreds of programs, initiatives, and partnerships in over 48 nations and on every continent.
"We must ensure that our scholarly community is composed of a rich mix of individuals who, through their own distinctive viewpoints, contribute to the intellectually challenging culture of the University."
