President of KAIST visits the University of Chicago

President Sung-Chul Shin of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) visited the University of Chicago on May 6, 2019. He met with President Zimmer to discuss the University's activities in scientific innovation, technology commercialization, and research-based startups.

In addition to this meeting, President Shin met with representatives from the Physical Sciences Division, Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering and the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to learn how UChicago translates research discoveries into new tools to address important societal problems.

KAIST is a national research university located in Daedeok Innopolis, Daejeon, South Korea. KAIST was established by the Korean government in 1971 as the nation's first research-oriented science and engineering institution.
