Dr. FAN Jingyi, Chief Pediatrician and Associate Professor, is the Director of the International Medical Education, Exchange and Cooperation Office of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. She also mentors graduate medical students in the Second Clinical College and the Research Center of Developmental and Educational Psychology of Wuhan University.
Dr. Fan graduated from the first class of Seven-Year Clinical Program in China Medical University. She worked as a resident and attending doctor in Shanghai Children’s Hospital. She was a visiting scholar of Tottori University of Japan with 23rd term Sasakawa Scholarship and studied and worked about a decade in U.S.A , such as in the University of Chicago. She is proficient in English and fluent in Japanese. Dr. Fan is well trained in clinical pediatric neurology. In 2011, she established the first pediatric neurology and mental health clinic in Hubei Province.
Until present, more than 50 academic papers have been published in domestic and foreign journals, among which Dr. Fan was the first author and corresponding author in nearly 40 papers. She published research papers in the top journal Nature in 2007 and has been cited more than 200 times. As the lead translator, Dr. Fan published the "Handbook of Clinical Psychopharmacology" (eighth edition, over 800,000 words) in 2018 by Peking University Press. As the first deputy chief translator, her translation work "Geriatric Neurology" (over 1.33 million words) was published by People's Medical Publishing House in 2020.
Since 2008, Dr. Fan has served the Wuhan University Medical Education Reform project (WUMER) as a key person, and contributed to the establishment of curriculum committee in Wuhan University Medical School. She is committed to the research of international medical education and teaching reform. Dr. Fan is currently the deputy head of the clinical group of the International Medical Education Branch of the China Education International Exchange Association; a lifelong member of the Asian and Oceanian Society of Pediatric Neurology; Member of the Chinese Society of Neuroscience; the deputy chairman of the Chinese Society of Neuroscience and Children’s Cognitive and Brain Dysfunction; Member of the Standing Committee of the Association for Autism Specialty Committee; Deputy Leader of the Development and Behavior Group of Hubei Pediatric Branch of Chinese Medical Association; Editorial Board Member of Asia Pacific Journal of Psychology and Psychological Counseling (APJCP); Member of Expert Group of Hubei Psychological Counseling Association.
