Recipients of the CCC Research Awards meet with the Executive Committee

The inaugural Chicago Consular Corps Global Research Awards fund research on global policy challenges of diplomatic significance conducted by students enrolled in the University of Chicago Center for International Relations (CIR) Master’s Program. The awards recognize the historical relationship between the University and the CCC and aim to further engagement between the Chicago Consular Corps and future global leaders as represented by the CIR students.

 

Selected from 19 proposals, the inaugural awardees of the CCC Global Research Awards are:

  • Michael Bushnell, Global Capital Markets and Cryptocurrency: Exploring the International Political Economy of Blockchain Ecosystems and Metaverse Development
  • Min Byung Chae, Geopolitics vs. Public Health: Determinants of U.S. Overseas COVID-19 Vaccine Donations
