Ganesh Neelam is head of innovations and technology at Tata Trusts and director and co-founder of the Foundation for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship. He obtained his MS in geoscience from the University of Pune in 2000. Prior to joining Tata Trusts, he worked as a hydrogeologist at BAIF Development Research Foundation where he worked on horticulture development and ground water management programs for rural tribal communities.
Neelam joined Tata Trusts in 2014, where he spearheads energy-related projects and engages with various partners and foundations. He also leads the Central India Initiative and the Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives (CInI), which is the nodal organization for the Central India Initiative. CInI works in four states in central India to make a sustainable difference in the quality of life for tribal communities through livelihood, education, nutrition, and drinking water sanitation interventions by partnering with women-led community institutions.
