Ajay K. Rastogi is a senior member of the Indian Forest Services. He has more than 30 years of experience across several managerial, administrative, academic, and technical roles in environmental governance and pollution control, forestry, conservation, and environmentally and socially sustainable development.
He is currently the chairman of the Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board. Rastogi has played a key role in the establishment of the green transparency initiative, which created pollution assessments and a rating system for plants in Jharkhand. Previously, he held key roles in the State Government of Jharkhand, including special secretary in the Department of Forest, Environment, and Climate Change, as well as conservator of forests.
