Based in Hong Kong, the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF) was established in 2008 by individuals who believe a positive relationship based on understanding and trust between the strongest developed nation and most populous, fast-developing nation is essential for global wellbeing. CUSEF’s programs serves as a critical bridge for the two countries by facilitating open and constructive exchange among policymakers, business leaders, academics, think tanks, cultural gurus, and educators from the United States and China.

The Smart Museum of Art at the University of Chicago is a site for rigorous inquiry and exchange that encourages the examination of complex issues through the lens of art objects and artistic practice. Through strong community and scholarly partnerships, the Museum incorporates diverse ideas, identities, and experiences into its exhibitions and collections, academic initiatives, and public programming. The Smart first opened in 1974.
UChicago Global's mission is to enhance the reach of the UChicago community in a constantly evolving landscape by activating and energizing partnerships, capturing and disseminating knowledge, and providing strategic and operational support abroad.
Our office supports a growing number of international programs and partnerships, overseas centers and campuses, research collaborations, and global education opportunities. While helping to steward programs already underway, UChicago Global collaborates with faculty, deans, and University administrators to lead the development of University strategies for engagement in key regions.
