The University of Chicago Francis and Rose Yuen Campus in Hong Kong is an intellectual destination in Asia representing UChicago’s values of free and open discourse, rigorous debate and the exchange of ideas across disciplines. The Yuen Campus serves as a hub for ambitious research, education and collaboration in Hong Kong, China and throughout Asia, building upon the University’s rich history of scholarship in the region. The Yuen Campus is also home to faculty, alumni, graduate and undergraduate students and the community working and studying in Hong Kong.
Recipients of the PGFA-Hong Kong awards are not required to hold activities at the Yuen Campus; activities may take place anywhere in the Greater China region and East and Southeast Asia more broadly. However, recipients of the Provost's Global Faculty Awards for Hong Kong will work closely with Yuen Campus staff as well as UChicago Global to plan and execute their planned activities.
The faculty director and members of the Hong Kong Faculty Advisory Board may be consulted in formulating proposals. Prospective applicants are also encouraged to consult with UChicago Global staff at global@uchicago.edu regarding the substance of the proposal and budget.
